Bert Bolin Global Environmental Change Award

Basic Information

The Bert Bolin Award is named after Bert Rickard Johannes Bolin (1925-2007), a Swedish biogeochemist/meteorologist who served as the first Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. This award is given annually to one individual or a team of individuals for their ground breaking research and/or leadership in global environmental change through cross-disciplinary, interdisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary research in the past 10 years. The award is applicable to mid-career or senior scientists, as defined by AGU.

For ground breaking research and/or leadership in global environmental change through cross-disciplinary, interdisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary research in the past 10 years.
