Established in 2015, the John C. Jamieson Student Paper Award is given annually to one or more AGU Mineral and Rock Physics Section student members and promotes the memory of John Calhoun Jamieson, formerly Professor of Geophysical Sciences at the University of Chicago, and the contributions that he’s made to the field of mineral physics research.
This grant serves to encourage and support AGU Mineral and Rock Physics Section student members who are doing significant research and writing on the field of high-pressure or high-temperature research.
