John F. Nye Lecture

Basic Information

The John Nye Lecture honors the work of cryospheric science pioneer, John F. Nye. This Cryosphere focus group named lecture is presented annually during the AGU Fall Meeting, held in San Francisco, Calif. The Nye Lecture is webcast and made available as an archived presentation on the AGU website.

The Nye Lecturer is selected based on highlighting and recognizing an outstanding cryospheric scientist and her/his recent accomplishments as well as the individual’s ability to present exciting science to the non-cryosphere community of AGU scientists. A list of previous Nye lecturers is available on the Cryosphere focus group website.

For recent accomplishments as well as the individual’s ability to present exciting science to the non-cryosphere community of AGU scientists.
