Established in 2008, the Keiiti Aki Early Career Award is given annually to an outstanding, early career seismologist in recognition of scientific accomplishments in the field of seismology. Eligible candidates have been awarded the degree of Ph.D. (or highest equivalent terminal degree) in the six-year period prior to 1 January of the year of the award presentation. The evaluation of the candidates will be based on the quality and originality of their research contributions.
