Norman L. Bowen Award

Basic Information

The Norman L. Bowen Award is given annually to one or more honorees in recognition of outstanding contributions to volcanology, geochemistry, or petrology.

Outstanding contributions may include: (1) a single outstanding paper published in any journal; (2) a series of papers which, taken together, constitute an outstanding contribution; and/or (3) any other contribution which the Bowen Award Committee considers worthy.

CITATION/SCOPE STATEMENT

For outstanding contributions to volcanology, geochemistry, or petrology.
