Rachel Carson Lecture

The Rachel Louise Carson Lecture honors the life and work of marine biologist, Rachel Carson. This Ocean Sciences section named lecture is presented annually by a female honoree during the AGU Fall Meeting. The Carson Lecture is webcast and made available as an archived presentation on the AGU website.

The Carson Lecturer is selected for exemplifying Rachel Carson’s work with cutting-edge ocean science, especially science relevant to societal concerns.
